OUR FACT CHECKING PROCESS

Fact-Checking at Sportxia:
Clear Claims, Traceable Evidence.

How we assess manufacturing information, define operating figures and correct content. This framework applies to Sportxia’s service pages, case studies and Blog articles.

A sourcing decision needs details that can be checked: a material specification, a dated test result, an agreed delivery milestone and a clear definition behind each number. This page sets out our editorial verification policy and the records readers can request when assessing a Sportxia claim.

The Evidence Behind a Manufacturing Claim

Use original records for factual claims and supporting research for context. A company-reported operating figure, a laboratory result and an independently audited certificate must each be identified for what they establish.

Tier 1 — Original Records and Official Sources

  • Applicable certificates and audit reports, checked for the named facility, scope, issuer and validity dates.
  • Laboratory reports for the identified fabric or garment, with a test method, sample identifier and result.
  • Approved tech packs, bills of materials, retained samples and dated inspection records.
  • Order schedules, dispatch records, carrier events, customs documents and receiving confirmations.
  • Official regulatory guidance and the issuing organisation’s records for the relevant market.

Tier 2 — Research and Industry Context

  • Government trade statistics and tariff databases with a stated reporting period.
  • Peer-reviewed textile research and publications from recognised industry associations.
  • Specialist trade reporting that identifies its original evidence and distinguishes analysis from fact.

Sources That Need Further Corroboration

  • Supplier directory listings and promotional statements without underlying records.
  • Undated screenshots, anonymous claims and certificates whose scope or status cannot be checked.
  • AI-generated summaries, generic blogs and forum opinions used as substitutes for a primary source.
  • Results from another company presented as Sportxia performance without confirmation and attributable evidence.

Four Areas of Verification

1. Certification and Product Compliance

Check the certificate holder, facility address, covered products and expiry date with the issuer or appropriate verification service. A fabric certificate does not automatically cover every finished garment, and a factory audit does not establish every product claim. Keep legal compliance requirements separate from voluntary certification.

2. Materials and Manufacturing

Tie blend ratios, GSM, dimensions, seam performance and shrinkage to the actual material or product specification. Record the test method and conditions. A descriptive term such as “durable” needs a relevant measurement before it becomes a numerical performance claim.

3. Regulations and Labeling

Review the current rule and official guidance for the intended market and product type. Identify the jurisdiction, applicable date and any product-specific conditions. A sourcing article provides general information; an order still needs its own destination and product assessment.

4. Logistics and Trade

Define which milestone a timeline covers: sample development, production completion, dispatch, transit or warehouse receiving. Confirm the destination, delivery term and quoted inclusions before using freight or duty figures. Keep an original quote and shipment record for the period being described.

Five Steps in Our Content Review

The publishing checklist follows the claim from its original source through technical review and later updates. Completing a checklist is an editorial process; it does not turn company-reported data into an independent audit.

  1. 01

Identify the Claim and Its Source

Record the statement, its evidence category, date and geographical or product scope while drafting. Distinguish a confirmed company figure from an industry benchmark or a planning estimate.

  2. 02

    Check the Underlying Record

Confirm document identifiers, validity, product or facility scope and the relevant original data. Sensitive client information should be redacted or shared through an agreed confidential review.

  3. 03

    Review the Technical Meaning

Match fabric, fit, production and inspection terminology to the specification and test method. Route technical questions to the relevant production or QC contact; record the reviewer for the article.

  4. 04

Review the Market and Reporting Context

Check destination-specific rules and verify that percentages, lead times and comparisons use compatible definitions and reporting periods. Hold or qualify a claim that lacks the needed evidence.

  5. 05

    Maintain the Published Record

Date the review, retain source references and schedule re-checks using the policy below. A material change should produce an update or correction note on the affected article.

How to Read Our FBA Figures

These definitions explain the current company-reported figures. Buyers can ask for the relevant supporting records; confidentiality may require redacted documents or an NDA. A document supplied by Sportxia should not be described as independent verification unless a separate qualified party performed that work.

FigureMeaning and scopeEvidence to request
Reporting population and periodThe ecommerce figures on our Amazon FBA page refer to 150+ active ecommerce client accounts and the January 2022–June 2026 reporting period. A current client count or a newer reporting period should be dated separately.Account register and the production, QC and shipping records used for the report.
On-time inbound · 99.3%For the current FBA summary, this refers to orders dispatched on or before the agreed schedule supporting the inbound plan. It does not mean 99.3% of parcels were physically received by Amazon on that date.Agreed order schedule and actual dispatch date. Arrival or receiving performance needs its own milestone and records.
Client return rate · 3.8%The reported average concerns returned units associated with delivered ecommerce orders. Comparisons need the same return window and product scope; account-level averages and pooled unit rates should not be treated as interchangeable.Delivered-unit records, return records, reporting window and aggregation method for the requested report.
Production capacity · 12 linesThe reported number describes production lines at the facility. Capacity is not a guarantee that all lines are available for a particular order or on a particular date.Dated line register, production allocation and a relevant facility review.
Facility area · 16,000 m²Sportxia’s confirmed facility-area figure used in the current FBA page. The quoted scope should identify which operating areas are included.Facility plans, occupancy records or a documented site review confirming the measured scope.
Lead timesSampling: 7–15 days after inputs are confirmed. Production: 15–30 days after approval. Express transit: 7–12 days after dispatch. The individual reorder case on the FBA page reports 21 days after sample approval.Approved specification, order schedule, material readiness, dispatch and carrier records; calendar or working-day basis agreed in the order.
Client outcomesA case-specific sell-through rate, monthly reorder volume or return reduction describes that project and period. It should not be presented as the expected result for every new customer.Dated project and sales records with client identifiers redacted where needed.

Relevant Expertise for Each Claim

The responsible reviewer should be recorded for the article or source file. Production and QC contacts address patterns, material specifications, manufacturing and inspection. Logistics contacts address dispatch records and delivery terms. Regulatory statements require current official guidance and appropriate specialist advice where the question calls for it.

Writers and AI tools can organise information, but they do not replace the underlying production record, test report or issuing body. Company confirmation and third-party verification should remain distinct in both the working file and the published wording.

Keeping Information Current

Our review policy uses the following intervals. Significant new evidence should trigger an earlier check, rather than waiting for the next scheduled review.

Every 90 Days

Review tariff and regulatory guides and referenced certification status. Re-check validity, jurisdiction and reporting dates.

Every 6 Months

Review technical manufacturing content and the scope of operating figures against the current production specification and available records.

Every 12 Months

Review foundational guides on fabric types, decoration and garment construction. New methods or standards may require an earlier update.

When a Material Change Is Identified

Start a review promptly and aim to update affected wording within 48 hours after the change has been confirmed. If verification is still pending, date the review status and qualify the claim.

Corrections Should Be Visible

A material correction should identify the affected page, the earlier statement, the corrected information, the date and the evidence behind the change. Minor spelling or formatting edits do not need to be presented as changes to the underlying facts.

Correction Record Format

  • Page and claim affected.
  • Date the issue was reported and date it was reviewed.
  • Previous statement and corrected statement.
  • Source or record supporting the correction.
  • Whether related pages or calculations also need updating.

Readers can report a concern using the contact below. Our response target is 72 hours for an initial assessment; a document-dependent investigation may take longer, and the reply should identify the next step.

Questions About Our Fact-Checking

Does this page mean every Sportxia figure has been independently audited?

No. This page explains our evidence standards and review process. Operating figures may be company-reported. Independent certificates, laboratory results and external audits should be identified by the issuing party, scope and date.

Can I request evidence behind a published claim?

Yes. Send the page link and the specific statement. We can discuss the relevant certificate, report or production record, with confidential information redacted or reviewed under an NDA where appropriate.

Where will I find this link in Blog articles?

Each Sportxia Blog article should include a Fact-checking process link in its article information or closing note. Statistics and technical claims should also have their own relevant sources; the policy link does not replace those citations.

How often is information reviewed?

The policy calls for 90-day checks for regulatory and certification content, six-month checks for technical and operating information, and annual checks for foundational guides. Confirmed material changes can trigger an earlier update.

How do I report an error?

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the statement in question and any supporting evidence. The target for an initial assessment is 72 hours, followed by a dated correction when warranted.
